Alicia Amanda Stokes, Mandy to those who knew her best, was a 33 year old from Oakland, CA. Although she’d been on the West Coast for a few years, she planned to move back to be with her mother on the East Coast. On November 25, 2007, she left in her car after having an argument with her roommate—her brother, Aaron. While driving, Mandy was on the phone with her boyfriend when the line went dead. Mandy’s car was found. She was never seen again.
The main takeaway from her disappearance is that it was 100% avoidable. As I said near the end of the episode, had just one thing been different that day, Crystal continues to be with us.
