Brenda Condon: Left Alone

Brenda Louise Condon was a 28 year old from State College, PA. She was a divorced mother of 2 and had her own business. In the early morning hours of Feb. 27, 1991, in Bellefonte, Brenda was the lone bartender at a place where she had just gotten part time work. When employees came in the next day, the bar was unlocked, her car was still there, but there were no signs of Brenda. She was never seen again.

Robert Cruz vs. Unidentified Bar Patron

So, why would a local who had been going to the bar all the time suddenly up and kill the new bartender????? It’s hard to understand. Not impossible to understand. But certainly a challenge to rationalize. However, as I’ve said: It’s often hard to logically explain seemingly illogical circumstances.

Yet, what does easily explain Brenda’s disappearance is a stranger who just comes by once in a while. And that’s who Cruz would’ve been—a truck driver coming through the area once in a while. In fact, I think I could even be convinced that he didn’t know Brenda would be there that night since she was new. In fact, in fact, I think I could convince myself that Cruz stopped in because he actually wanted to kill the previous bartender—who may have been a woman—but Brenda was there. Meaning, Brenda was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
