Ben Charles Padilla: The Darker Side of Aviation

Ben Charles Padilla was a 50 year old from Pensacola, FL. He was a licensed aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, and pilot of small airplanes. He was on a job in Luanda, Angola, overseeing the refurbishing of a 727. On the evening of May 25th, 2003, with the job almost completely done, an assistant and he went to the plane to test its engines. Minutes later the 727 rolled down the runway and took off.
