Map Analysis

Meaning, we’re left with David walking off. And he walked off after 12 hours of the most incredible and bizarre behavior we’ve ever heard from a missing person.

So then, how to analyze this when there isn’t much of a mystery as to WHAT happened to David? Instead, we’re left to figure out WHY. And I will be proceeding with this even though I am not a medical professional.

The biggest point, I think, is that this is not a disappearance that started on Saturday, September 22, 2012. In fact, it didn’t even start the night before when David had that crazy night with Robert—despite that being the main focus of my interview with Karla. In fact, the disappearance didn’t even start a few days before when David went to his doctor without an appointment.

I cannot stress that preceding paragraph enough.

Instead, and this is something we need to apply to past disappearances and also to future ones, David’s disappearance started the moment he told Karla, “I’m not feeling like myself.” This was a statement that came even before he didn’t pick up that one student the preceding Monday.
