THE VISIT TO CHRIS’ S FATHER’S

Why is this issue? Well, I really have no idea if Chris’s father ever did call Cheryl to say, “Hey, Chris and Kristina never made it to my place.” Remember, they left on Wednesday . . . allegedly. That’s when Cheryl saw them last. Her understanding was Kristina and Chris were going to the father’s for a few days. That’s the reason she didn’t worry when she hadn’t heard from Chris on Thursday. It’s also the reason she didn’t sense anything wrong until Friday, the 28th.

So, did Chris’s dad ever call? I don’t know. And it’s a question I should’ve asked during the interview. I hate when I miss stuff like that.

What else is also unclear is at some Cheryl surely called the father to say, “Hey, Chris and Kristina are missing.” Maybe it happened the 28th. The 29th? I don’t know. But surely it happened. Yet, Cheryl never said anything like, “Oh yeah, I called him and he told me he was wondering where Chris and Kristina were.”

I certainly have to ask her about that.

What does it mean? Well, it could mean a couple things. 1. Going to the father’s could’ve been a cover story for something else Chris and Kristina were going to do. That’s why the father didn’t call.

OR

2. Chris and Kristina had changed their plans and told the father but not Cheryl.

OR

3. The father did call Cheryl and she just didn’t say so.
